NETWORK Q 4.0 in Hesse

The Q 4.0 NETWORK in Hesse aims to prepare vocational training staff for the challenges of digitalization. This particularly includes imparting modern technical and social skills so that training content and processes can be adapted and (re)designed to reflect digital changes.

Target group

Vocational training staff from all sectors.

Goals

  • Strengthening the digital technical and social skills of trainers and vocational school teachers through practical training opportunities
  • Using the opportunities of digital transformation for training
  • Create quality standards for the qualification of training staff

Content & Services

  • Impulses, suggestions and measures for shaping vocational training in the digital transformation
  • Selection of over 100 free training courses nationwide on Training 4.0
  • Regional and national networking events with digital, training-related focus topics

Financial support

NETWORK Q 4.0 is a joint project of the German Economic Institute (IW) and the business training organizations and other educational institutions and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

In Hesse, the Educational Institute of the Hessian Economy is implementing the NETWORK Q 4.0 project in the regions of Kassel, Gießen, Fulda, and Wiesbaden. In Kassel, the project is being implemented in cooperation with the Educational Institute of the North Hessian Economy and the Association for Social Policy, Education, and Vocational Training, Academy of Business. Due to public funding, the programs are free of charge for vocational training staff.
