IRU - In-company rehabilitation through retraining

Solid vocational training is a key prerequisite for professional success and the best insurance against unemployment. With In-Company Rehabilitation through Retraining (IRU), we support you on your path to a new career.

You are completing retraining in a recognized vocational training occupation. To introduce you to learning, we offer you the opportunity to refresh your academic knowledge in a preparatory course (RVL). During the RVL, we will support you in selecting a retraining occupation appropriate to your health situation and work with you to find a suitable retraining company close to your home. During the company-based retraining, we will offer you career-specific support programs and provide you and your company with advice and support. Retraining in a "normal" company increases your career entry opportunities.

The IRU is aimed at people with disabilities, severe disabilities, or those at risk of disability who are unable to continue their current occupation due to health reasons. Participation is subject to approval by the responsible rehabilitation funding agency.
